Why evening watching feels more emotional than daytime scrolling

I’ve noticed something strange — the same type of videos feel completely different depending on the time of day. In the morning I barely react, but at night even simple clips feel more emotional or meaningful. Do you think it’s just tiredness, or does our perception actually change that much in the evening?

I think it really does change. In the evening you’re more open and less distracted by tasks, so you don’t just “consume” content — you actually feel it more. Even small things in

videos can stand out, like sounds or pacing, because your mind isn’t splitting attention anymore. I’ve noticed I get more reflective at night too, so even neutral content can feel deeper than it would during the day. It’s not that the videos change, it’s our mental state that becomes softer and more receptive.
