bird is more than a news agency. We also provide support for African journalists. This includes training modules, events and some of the tools required to write with what we at bird call our "bird's eye view" - the ability to write, or create content that is at once aware of the aspirations of the continent, and at the same time, authentic, free of bias, free of tired tropes and dangerous stereotypes and accurate for local audiences.

To this end we are building a Style Guide and bird Handbook as a resource for all African journalists.
